Driver dead, passenger injured after crash in Douro-Dummer Township: Peterborough County OPP – Peterborough
Peterborough County OPP says one person has died and another was injured after a crash east of Peterborough on Saturday night.
At around 7:15 PM, emergency services responded to a single-vehicle accident along the 10th line in Douro-Dummer Township.
OPP says a vehicle with two people was found in a ditch. The driver died at the scene and the passenger was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by paramedics.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
The 10th line was closed between Webster Road and Dummer-Asphodel Road while OPP was investigating.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
It was the second fatal accident in Peterborough County on Saturday night after an accident in the north of Trent Lakes borough around 7pm.
