Police investigate after drowning in Meaford, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police said at 1:58 p.m. on Aug. 14 that officers received a report of a person in distress in the water near Grant Avenue.

Police said the victim was pulled from the water and pronounced dead “after life-saving measures failed”.

Officers identified the deceased as 51-year-old Dzenad Icagic from Etobicoke.

“The Gray Bruce OPP continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this death, it is not considered suspicious,” police said in a press release.
