Watch: Bryce Young’s New ‘Fansville’ Commercial Is Going Viral

Bryce Young’s TV presence is not limited to game days.
The Alabama star quarterback makes the most of his NIL opportunities by playing in Dr. Pepper’s latest “Fansville” series. During Monday night’s game between Clemson and Georgia Tech, ESPN aired the first episode of the fictional city.
The commercial shows a student returning home, only to find that his parents have replaced him with Young.
“They’re my family now,” Young tells him with a threatening look.
dr. Pepper teased the latest Fansville ads with a one minute video with a sheriff, played by former linebacker Brian Bosworth, who asks how many NIL deals Young has.
Young told For The Win’s Prince J. Grimes that he does not know the exact amount. He also described his experience on the Fansville set.
“I didn’t take any acting lessons, but I definitely felt I should have,” said Young. “There was a great cast, great crew. So just being able to watch them was a little intimidating. But I had fun with it.”
It was not his first commercial of a long-running ad campaign to premiere. Young also participated Nissan’s Heisman house in an ad featuring Tim Tebow, Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield and other Heisman Trophy winners.
Young is one of the first stars of college football to capitalize on the new NIL landscape with national commercials. The sponsorship could keep coming as he battles for a new Heisman this season.
